We are Anna and Bálint, the founders of Apartment Theory, based in Vienna.
Our background combines hospitality, tourism and interior design, shaped through both our studies and hands-on professional experience. This combined perspective guides how we approach interiors today, balancing aesthetics with practical use.
As our work evolved, we naturally moved closer to the spaces in a more direct way, from refining accommodation concepts to creating complete, ready-to-use environments.
We have led the full setup and operation of a motel, including its refurbishment and redesign, gaining practical insight into how interiors function in everyday use, from guest experience to daily operations.
We also designed, renovated and managed our own guest accommodation from the ground up, creating a fully functional, guest-ready space.
Building on this experience, we have completed a range of apartment projects, from full setups of empty units to redesigning existing short-term rentals.
Our focus is on delivering functional, well-considered short-term rental spaces, with an emphasis on improving and refining existing properties.
We also take on hospitality projects such as hotels, motels and guesthouses, adapting each project to its specific context and purpose.
Alongside this, we design private homes with the same attention to clarity, comfort, and everyday usability.
